• Newspaper Club Launches First Edition
  Blue Coat News aims to provide a platform for our students to express their creativity, share their thoughts and ideas, and keep the school community informed about events, achievements, and important updates.
• Blue Coat Primary School achieves OPAL’s top award!
  We are delighted to announce that we were assessed as Platinum, the highest grade given for a third time. We were further awarded OPAL’s highest accolade in being given their Honours Award.
• Young Leaders Award
  Reception pupils have been congratulated by Gloucester Diocesan Schools for completing the Young Leaders Award (Archbishop of York Youth Trust). Listen to an interview with our RE lead reflecting on how the Award helps our pupils be ‘future ready’.
• The Travelling Kitchen
  Over the summer holidays The Keepers hosted Stroud District Council's Travelling Kitchen. Local primary-aged children came along to learn some kitchen skills and sample what they made! Thanks to The Keepers for this great activity. It was a lot of fun.

  We are proud to top this year's Real School's Guide ranked list for 'Best Primary School in Gloucestershire'!

  It's not always easy to find suitable learning for your child on the internet. Under the current circumstances in which many children are at home, we have offered a 'first go' at some useful sites that can help your child continue to learn online.
• National Christingle Service
  Pupils from Blue Coat School took part in the National Christingle Service recorded at Gloucester Cathedral in December 2020.
• Wonder at Our Window Wanderland
  At Blue Coat Primary School, we were proud to support Wotton-under-Edge's Window Wanderland again this year.  Children at school and at home, created artwork to decorate the windows of their homes and of the school.

  Pupil voice is an important dimension to any school.
• Shop 'til you Pop!
  As the children progress through Blue Coat, they are expected to encounter higher and higher stakes in their learning. It doesn't get much more serious than when it comes to raising the stakes to set up a profitable business using public monies!
