Wonder at Our Window Wanderland31 December 2020 (by admin) |
At Blue Coat Primary School, we were proud to support Wotton-under-Edge's Window Wanderland again this year. Children at school and at home, created artwork to decorate the windows of their homes and of the school.
The front aspect of our building looked beautiful, demonstrating the creativity and talent of our children. The artwork transformed the school. As families came to school, the children marvelled at the work on display, whilst looking to spot their own creations.
This was an opportunity for staff and families to come together for a terrific event across the town. We fully support the Window Wanderland, as it allows the community to come together as windows are transformed into galleries. This year, more than any other, the event had a special significance. With so many of us experiencing the difficulties that lockdown has brought, the event provided a sense of awe and wonder through the incredible artwork whilst also strengthening the sense of togetherness. We were proud to have BBC Points West broadcasting against the backdrop of our contribution.
We only hope that you enjoyed the Window Wanderland as much as we did!
