SEND Teaching Assistant Fixed Term Contract (Linked to EHCP)

13 hours 45 minutes per week - term time only

2 hours 45 minutes per day - Afternoons Monday through to Friday 12.30pm – 3.15pm

Grade 5, SCP 11-14 (£25,979 - £27,334 pro rata) - Actual f.t.e 0.3107 – Annual actual salary £8,072.62 - £8,493.67

Start Date:  ASAP

 

We are looking to recruit a teaching assistant to work with a child with an EHCP in Key Stage 2.  The successful applicant must:

  • Have experience in supporting children with severe learning difficulties
  • Have experience in neurological disorders
  • Have experience in communication and language including strategies to support speech and language difficulties
  • Have experience in delivering targeted interventions in communication and social skills
  • Have epilepsy training and experience
  • Have knowledge of AAC (alternative augmented communication)
  • Have experience of Smart Moves programme
  • Have experience in precision teaching

 The successful applicant will work towards the outcomes set out in the EHCP, by supporting the pupil individually.
