Teacher Degree Apprenticeship Vacancy
Fixed term (3 years) full time position. 30 hours paid per week – 4 days per week in school, 1 day per week study day

The Governors of Blue Coat Primary School are looking to appoint an Apprenticeship Teacher to help us to achieve our vision of making our children “future ready”.
The candidates will need to be committed to supporting children in being curious, motivated and independent learners. We are looking for individuals who put the children’s needs at the heart of everything that they do within the role. You will need to be passionate about the impact that a quality education has on young people.
Entry Requirements - to apply for this position, you will need:
- to hold at the time of applying GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in Maths, English and Science
- to hold or to be working towards, Level 3 qualifications, for example A Levels or T Levels, up to or exceeding 104 UCAS points. (Qualifications must be achieved and confirmed by 14th August 2026).
As part of the apprenticeship you will be working towards a BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), working with Primary age children 5-11 years and earning a yearly salary of £20,862 at Blue Coat Primary School. The degree will be run by Coventry University but there will be no requirement to travel to Coventry to study. As it is an apprenticeship, there are also no tuition fees.
