Cream tea? Cream crackered!

Yes, Blue Coat's Cream Tea event after school today left the staff feeling 'cream crackered': it was that busy! Hordes of parents, grandparents, pupils (current and previous!) and staff convened in the school hall, filling it to bursting point. The event was planned to offer an alternative to the Big Breakfast, affording the school community an opportunity to socialise over refreshments whilst perusing some of the outcomes of the learning that the children have taken part in this term.

The event held a particular element of excitement for some of our Milepost 3 children as they premiered their animation movies on the big screen - they were well received! Watch out for them coming to the school website soon.

Did you enjoy the event? Should we do this again in addition to the Big Breakfast? Please would you vote in the poll on the right hand-side to give us some valuable feedback for future consideration.

Sincere thanks to all in attendance for your continued support for the school and staff - it is very much appreciated. Personal thanks must go to the hardworking staff who made the event happen, from pupils' work preparation and presentation to washer uppers and tea pourers: you all did a fantastic job! In particular, I must thank Mrs Buckley who went above and beyond in her quest to (home) bake over 200 delicious scones for the event! What would we do without her? Have a great half-term everyone.

I'm afraid that the event was so busy that I forgot to take photos but I did manage to capture a video of some of the fantastic work our children produced this spring term before the crowds arrived! Enjoy...
