Class of 2014: We'll Miss You!

IMG 0690aOne church; one school family; one amazing group of Year 6's. Today, we bid 'farewell' to our eldest pride and joy, wishing them every success in their exciting futures. Songs/hymns, orchestral arrangements, memories, readings and buddy presentations of cards and Bibles made for a moving service. We also found time to say goodbye to Mr Jones and Miss Gleeson, both of whom will be missed in September.

The service also commemorated this term's FA (Friendship & Achievement) Award Winner - well done, Holly - and this year's Dryleaze Cup Winner. This cup is awarded to those showing remarkable talent and commitment to music during their time at Blue Coat. Competition was tough and Mrs Galvin and Mrs Moir whittled it down to about 10 pupils before having to settle on a winner. This year, the winner of the Dryleaze cup went to Ellen B. - well done, Ellen!

A massive 'thank you' to all parents in attendance. If this is the end of your 'Blue Coat experience' then we thank you for your support and hope to hear from you as your child(ren) grow and achieve in the coming years.

We also need to thank Reverend Christine Axford who led a wonderful service with the support of the St Mary's church team. Finally, thank you to parents who gave up their morning to walk our children to Blue Coat's second home for the service.

Have a wonderful summer, everyone. We look forward to welcoming you back through our school gates in September... and that includes Year 7's!
