Suddenly, out of nowhere, a large ledge slapped me hard in the face. My eyes opened. I looked around, noticing I was still metres above the ground. Then - realising I was about to roll off the edge - I grabbed it. Clinging on for dear life, I glanced around desperately searching for a plan. I found one. Taking a deep breath, I swang back before plunging through the window beneath the ledge. Once I was inside, I exited the building, completely unnotciced by the confused police, before riding my skateboard home.

Oliver, you have been extremely effective in combining short, sharp sentences with longer ones to build up a sense of tension. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next!

Attention grabbing narrative, Oliver! I like it. How about a continuation to find out where you're thinking of going next?
