The launching of legends and mystical myths!

Today 06/02/12 the upper juniors came dressed in their outrageous costumes. Ranging from the demons that live in the depths of hell to the gods that rule myths and legends. Today was the launch day for year 5 and 6's new IPC topic "Myths and Legends."

Trojan horse challenge!

The first event, one of the most exiting, was the trojan hourse challenge! In only 20 minutes Team NZ and there fellow upper Juniors had to build a Trogen horse out of uncooked spaghetti and wobbly jelly babys. The making of the four legged creature was extremely difficult and was not a very big success.

Mythical Creature making.

Also that day we fiddled artistically with soggy, soft clay and aimed our goal at making a new unique mythical creature that Medusa had turned to stone. There was lots of diffrent and creative ideas and the models were neatly done and beautifully made. Lochness monsters to flying snails, gorgeous unicorns to realistic frogs, pasties with legs to a little man named Dave, all such brilliant ideas team NZ!

King Georges Quiz!

As the third activity of the day, Mr H's 'Ye goode Knights' quiz was very entertaining to our very intelligent brains. We had refreshing food and drink of crisps, popcorn and ale A.K.A squash! The questions ranged for mythical monsters to what king Arthur's sword was called. Do any of you know the answer?
