                                                          Chapter 2

As she lifted the lid, inside she saw a pile of family photos. She knew nothing about her family who had died in a tradic accident. Holly started to fan through the dusty pictures leading to one of her mum and dad's wedding. As she was about to flick over to the next photo, she saw her hand smeared in blood. She thought is was just a ordinary cut. However it wasn't coming from her...

"The photos! Ahhhhhhhhhh!" screamed Holly.

Crimson red blood was leaking from the pictures. The box slipped out of her pink hands and slammed shut on the wooden paneled floor. Holly sprinted out of the cobwebbed attic as fast as a shooting star. She tumbled down the stairs and banged her head on the concrete floor.

Her Granny screeching in a high pitch voice "Where's my cup of tea!"

Holly got up and started to stretch her legs and stood staring at a lonely dull picture. She limped towards the freezer and put a cold ice pack on her bruised head. Holly grabbed the tea and put it on the table that was next to her Granny.

"Oh thank you come and sit next to me dear" Her Granny whisperd.

Holly knew that the ant's and blood was just her imagination and she was right but she still wanted to go up and see if at least the photos were real.

"Where are you going sweetie?" asked her Granny.

"Just to the attic Granny" Replied Holly.

"That's not the happiest of places Holly"

"I've already realised that!"

Molly and Esme, the story is getting a bit spooky now - just what the Year 5s and 6s want! The ending is really effective, here where you have used dialogue to add to the story meaning.

Wow, something intriguing is really unfolding! It's also refreshing to read another genre of storywriting on the blog. Fantastic first 2 chapters, girls. MORE (please!)
