P. P. Boy and Pop Rockets!

A fantastic start to the new term! In class India we met P. P. Boy - a piece of Chinese pottery used to determine whether water is hot enough for a cup of tea - followed by the opportunity to make Pop Rockets! Check out the latest News section for some video clips of the fun we had this morning.

2TPs for anyone who can write an exciting sentence about either P. P. Boy or the pop rockets (SC: at least one adjective and one adverb). 3TPs if in your sentence you include a detail about the person who got hit on the head (sorry Wren!) and the owner of the cheeky laugh that followed!

They were good fun! But in order to get 2TPs your sentence needs to meet the success criteria. I'm looking for high quality descriptive sentences.

e.g. Slowly but steadily, the fizzing chemical reaction released carbon dioxide into the shiny white canister, until... BANG! The pop rocket launched, hurtling dramatically up towards the ceiling!

Fizzing and bubbling the mounted pop rocket sat patiently waiting on the hard concrete ground freezing to death and surrounded by a ruby-red hoop, joined at one end, before careering uncontrollably at a rate of knots toward the low lit sky.

Jolie, well done for posting a sentence - that earns you 1TP. However, to earn two more TPs could you edit it so that you don't have the words exploding and fizzing twice? Are there other words that you could replace them with?
