Joseph's Journey

'Jacob loved Joseph more than his brothers... He gave Joseph a multi-coloured robe as a gift, but he didn't give any to his other sons. When Joseph's older brothers saw that their father loved him more, they became angry. They hated him and said bad things about him.'

And so Joseph's journey starts! Over the next few weeks we will learn about his life as he travels from the fields of Israel, through Potiphar and prison, to the palaces of Egypt. It's a fantastic story which speaks to us of arrogance, despair, fame and rescue!

If you want to dig into this brilliant Bible story one way to do that is to listen to some of the songs from the highly acclaimed musical 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' - enjoy the soundtrack and comment which song is your favourite and why?

Here are the sons of Jacob-Rueban, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Naphtai, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin! Hope I'm right!

All correct - in order to get the 5 Table Points you need to learn them and come and recite their names to me! I'll try you tomorrow...

Esther arrived at school this morning, and with a few pronunciation hiccups, recited all 12 of Jacob's sons - that earned the Unconscious Freaks their second week as Table of the Week! Well done Esther!

Something even trickier is remembering the colours from the musical song in exactly the right order!
