Homework - Letter to our MP

Next week, we are going to send a letter to our local MP, Geoffrey Clifton-Brown. Please write a first paragraph that introduces who we are, OR a final paragraph to finish the letter and we will choose which ones to use next week.

Also, can you write a question you would like to ask him about his job as an MP.

Please comment your homework.

Well done Rachel for getting us going. Good idea to start by stating what we are learning about at the moment. Do you have a question as well? Don't forget that it is one letter from the whole class, so will that alter how you start the letter?

Dear Mr Clifton-Brown

I am writing on behalf of Class China, which is a Y5/6 class at Blue Coat Primary School, Wotton-under-Edge. Our topic this half term is about Governments and Parliaments. We have been drawing pictures to represent what Parliament does. We have made our own political party and we are going to take part in a vote which will be judged by a Y3/4 class.

Mr Clifton-Brown, Since you are an MP, maybe you can give us some advice on our school work which is about parliament. We will be looking forward to your response.

Yours sincerely
Class China of Blue Coat School.

To Mr Clifton brown.

Our topic this term is government and parliament. We have been drawing and researching about government, soon we are going to enter a picture and a small piece of writing into a competition!

What is the best part about your job and what is the worst part about your job!

Dear Mr Clifton-Brown
We are Blue Coat Church of England Primary School in Wotton-Under-Edge. We have been in the town for the past three hundred and nineteen years and we have approximately three hundred and twenty pupils.
In Class China ( Mr Brooks and Mrs Glavin) we are learning about parliament and government.

How hard do you find it making decisions? ;-)
