All the World's a Shape

In maths this week we have been exploring 2d shapes. James Br. knows that quadrilaterals have 4 sides and 4 corners. Katie also knows that some shapes look similar, like a circle and a cylinder, because they can both be rolled and are both circular. Jamie realised that the 'flat' shapes we use in school are really 3d shapes.

Rosie knows that there are different angles in shapes and that triangles have 3 corners.Sam now knows that all quadrilaterals are polygons but that not all polygons are quadrilaterals - very impressive! Zoe has learned that a circle isn't a polygon because it's got curved sides.
