Green fingers

Hi and welcome back to the new term I hope you all had a lovely Easter!

The children have begun their new topic ‘Green Fingers’, with the help of forest school today! Thank you to Mrs Taylor and Mrs Young for your help today! The children had lots of fun looking for those spring signs and of course creating that mud soup.

In maths this week we have been looking at numbers. Thinking about rounding and what the difference is when rounding to the nearest 10,100 and even some looking at 1,000! The children have come up with their own ways to remember these rules; perhaps they could share these with you!

In writing we have continued to look at story writing but now with a focus on stories with a familiar setting, this is building up to our big write tomorrow. Children next week will start to create their own stories based on a familiar setting of a vegetable garden (after reading ‘Oliver’s Vegetable’ this week).
