Another busy week ahead!

Hello everyone,

This week promises to be another busy week!

In maths we are continuing with calculating, measuring and understanding shape. Last week we started off with some addition and 'finding the difference' using different contexts (e.g. money), which we will be continuing this week.

In English we are creating our own toy characters to be included in a piece of writing, which will be based on a story by Jane Hissey. The children will be looking to use interesting vocabulary, different openers and punctuation (including commas).

IPC Topic Toys:

On Tuesday the children will be creating dances based on the story of 'The Brave Tin Soldier'.

We are also lucky enough to have a box of old toys from The Museum in the Park, in Stroud. The box contains real toys from different decades in the past century, in addition to some replicas of Victorian toys. We will be using these toys to compare similarities and differences with our own.

Another forest school session on Wednesday - please remember your warm clothes, hats and gloves. It looks to be a very chilly week!
