The Tiger is coming to tea!

The last 2 weeks have been great fun as we devoted our English lessons to writing about The Tiger Who Came to Tea. The children have been really inspired, thinking of great ideas of things we can do and write about ready for when the tiger comes to our class for tea! This Friday, we will be having a tea party with food and decorations made by the children. Our classroom is looking very tiger-ish too!

Maths this week is about partitioning numbers (finding pairs of numbers that total a given number) We will be finding out how we can work out the related subtraction fact e.g. If 8+2=10 then we know that 10-2=8.

Science is all about forces. Last week we explored a range of toys in the classroom and found out whether we could make them move by pushing or pulling them. This week we'll be exploring the direction of forces.

We will be sending out Christmas costume letters this week, giving you plenty of time to rustle up your chlid's costume. Please let us know if you have any problems getting the costume together  - we do have bits and pieces in school. Thank you.

Don't forget...Friday is a PTA non-uniform day. No money required...just chocolate! Many thanks.
