3D Gingerbread Men

Wow Class Snapdragon have had a busy week! It has been friendship week at Blue Coat School so we have been thinking about how we can be friendly to everyone not just our 'best friends'. Snapdragons had some lovely suggestions they were to be kind an caring, be polite, smile and listen to each other.

We've also had lots of fun designing and then making  Gingerbread men using junk materials. Next week we'll be talking about both the 2D and 3D shapes that we've used to make our models.

We have finished Phase 2 letters and sounds and the children have learnt s, a, t, p, i, m, n, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, h, b, f, ff, l, ll, ss and tricky words I, no, go, to, the. We will be revising these sounds over the next couple of weeks before moving on to new sounds.

One last thing, each week we practise fine motor skills by putting movement to music and using both hands to create patterns as part of our Write Dance scheme. These  pictures they are bringing home on sugar paper can look like scribble but I assure you they are meant to look like this.

Don't forget Christmas costumes are due in Monday, please let me know if you need any help sorting out a costume.
