Christmas is nearly here!

Wow what a week! We are so proud of all the children they really proved that they were all great performers! The photos look great, if you haven't seen them they are on the home page. Thank you to all the parents that helped dress and undress the children ready for the performances. Also thank you to all my parents, the children looked great and that was thanks to the fantastic costumes provided by you!

On Friday the children met Kate Grey, a Para-olympic swimmer, who has competed in many competitions including the World championships and the Beijing Olympics. We were all in awe of her courageous journey, after losing her hand in an accident at two years old she has continued to prove herself. Unfortunately after training hard for London 2012 she caught Glandular fever and was unable to compete. Kate has silver and bronze medals but is still determined to get the gold and is aiming to be at Rio 2016 so we wish her luck in her training. She is presenting for Sports Personality of the year for Five Live tonight if you're listening.

Next week will be filled with festive activities  on Tuesday afternoon we are getting together with our year 6 buddies to make decorations! Wednesday it's Christmas dinner and Friday it is the Christmas parties! Don't forget your homes clothes on Friday for the parties!

We will still be practising our sound talk and also those tricky words which are really tricky! See how many you can spot in your books at home, or even on your cereal packets or other boxes and jars.

We will be keeping up with our number work too and using repeating patterns to make sparkley crowns ready for the party on Friday; don't forget your home clothes on that day!

Looking forward to a fun-filled week see you tomorrow!
