Cotswold Wardens at Blue Coat

CW2We were lucky to welcome the Cotswold Wardens group to the playground this morning. The Cotswold Voluntary Wardens are the voluntary arm of the Cotswold Conservation Board. The Wardens work within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) carrying out a variety of activities, including scrub clearance, hedgelaying, coppicing and visits to schools.

The group set-about tackling our very overgrown planted bank along the edge of the Infant playground, and also some bramble clearance from the field hedgerows. They made short work of the enormous laurel bushes and set a brilliant example to our pupils of teamwork and 'service', which is the Christian Value we are exploring this term.

Thank you Cotswold Wardens! For more info
