Our Pupils Cross the Country(side) for Silver!

Mrs Arnold has led the school's cross country after-school club since the autumn term. This has culminated in a series of multi-school weekend events where our children have braved the elements in search of beating their personal bests and their opponents.

Recently, the children ran their final race and the points were tallied up. Based on our children's positioning across the series of races they managed to earn the school an extremely impressive SILVER place trophy for coming 2nd in the Large Schools competition!

Breaking the results down: our 'senior girls' ran for a very respectable 2nd place overall; the 'junior boys' bagged an impressive 1st overall; with the 'junior girls' nabbing bronze running in for 3rd place overall.

Notable individual successes were enjoyed by:

Lucy D- 9th
Dylan A - 5th
Hayden B - 2nd
Joseph M - 1st

Well done to all who took part, and particularly to Joseph who blew away the competition to manage a string of 1st places to gain GOLD overall. Finally, huge thanks to Mrs Arnold for her ongoing support, weekend and after-school time, and training for our children.
