Blue Coat Athletes Excel Again

DSC01675A team of children from Key Stage 2 represented Blue Coat at the annual district sports events held over the past couple of weeks.

At both the field event competition at North Nibley and the delayed track event at KLB, we were represented brilliantly by our children, with a great level of success in both.

Our throwers and jumpers threw and jumped with gusto, impressing all with their abilities and positive attitudes.

In the track competition, we had podium finishers in every single event whilst winning no fewer than 13 events; our relay teams even completed a clean-sweep of wins! Although the competition isn't officially scored to produce a winner, Blue Coat dominated the large schools with Wickwar an admirable second winning 7 of the 22 events.

But best of, all of the children competed in the right spirit, smiling and cheering on their team mates and competitors from other schools, giving it everything they had on the track.

A big thank you to all of the parents who supported the Blue Coat team and those members of staff who organised and attended the events.

Well done, everyone, on a slick and competitive KS2 Sports Day. Great to see so many parents in attendance!
