Cross Country Update: Race Two

6cp6pRA9iBlue Coat has a proud cross country history and this season there is the added pressure of attempting to retain the district title. Mrs Arnold, one of the school's P.E. leaders, tracked the progress of our Key Stage 2 pupils as they faced the cold, wet and (of course) mud on the Katherine Lady Berkeley circuit.

"(Another) well done to those children who took part in the second of the season’s cross country races.  We took a team of 25 children to KLB, who again put in some great performances, representing the school proudly.

Caitlin put in another outstanding performance by coming first in the Junior Girls’ race. Similarly, the senior girls contingent positioned very well with both Lena and Zoe retaining the top two positions in a competitive Senior Girls’ field.

Not to be outdone, the boys also gained good results with all of our Junior Boys placing in the Top 30 out of the 96 competitors taking part.

Our senior boys’ team also gave it their all with the majority gaining positions in the top half. A notable mention and 'well done' to Archie who placed 9th, gaining 6 places on his last race!

Well done to all of our school's competitors. Our next race will take place on 16th January 2016."

Thank you to Mrs Arnold for her support and updates on Blue Coat's progress this season. Thank you also to all those taking part and the support of families cheering on from the sidelines
