PTA Beach Theme Fayres Well With Visitors

2015 01 06 10.22.01 amThe Blue Coat PTA May Fayre is always well received by the community, gathering big crowds and in the process raising significant funds for the school. However, this year's beach theme brought a refreshed format to the fayre which was held, in its entirety, on the school field.

Through months of PTA planning, the team managed to deliver a highly professional event which combined the successful 'tried 'n' tested' ingredients with the new and novel. The beach theme stemmed from the school's play strategy in which a giant-sized sandpit is planned for, with the help of funds investment. As a result, the PTA cleverly took on the theme and provided features such as deckchair lounging, donkey rides, Punch 'n' Judy shows, chips and ice-creams, themed prize-winning activities and more. They even managed to book the sunshine!

A massive thank you to all of the PTA for the hard work, creativity and commitment that went into delivering such an enjoyable social fundraiser. Well done to leaders Helen and Andy, in particular. Thank you also to participating members of the local community (Wotton Round Table etc), as well as the hordes of staff, families and local residents who showed up to support the stellar efforts and raise money for the school in the process.
