Our 'Egg Chasers' Only Crack in the Final!

P3290697This weekend saw a number of our pupils taking part in a tag rugby tournament representing the school. The team was a credit to the school: encouraging one another whilst playing superb rugby in the process.

They had an inspired run at winning the tournament with a 6-2 win over Slimbridge, 7-4 win over Sharpness, a 5-3 defeat over Hillesley and a 7-5 winning result over local neighbours North Nibley. These results defined their path to the final where they managed to come unstuck against a strong Kingswood side who pipped them by one try to win 4-5.

The result was good enough for our team to progress through to the Level 3 finals with primary schools from all over Gloucestershire competing on Monday 19th May.

Notable mention for Ace who managed to win the 'Sportsmanship Medal' for his conduct on and off the pitch!

Well done to our talented team:

Joe, Tom, Dillon, Dylan, Daisy, George, Charlie, Luke, Ace, Morgan, Oliver and Sam.

As always, staff commitment was key to the children competing and this happened in the form of Mrs Galvin - thank you! Thanks also to all of the parents who attended and showed stellar support for our team.
