Big Breakfast Bursts into 2014

DSCN2030Our first of this year, this morning's Key Stage 1 Big Breakfast was bursting with life today as the hall filled with hungry breakfast goers ready to start their day the Blue Coat way.

Traditionally, the Big Breakfast has been an opportunity to get large numbers of our families together under the school roof to have a natter whilst nibbling away at a croissant or two. Why? Because we value the community ethos of our school... and this is always brilliantly reflected by appreciative parents and those who help in bringing the event to life.

As usual, there were some samples of the children's most recent learning on display, photos of our learners in action, and the obligatory pulse-pumping tunes to accompany the bustling atmosphere. It was very encouraging to welcome back familiar faces whilst also greeting new ones. A huge thank you to all of the families for supporting this key Blue Coat event.

Finally, a massive 'thank you' to the wider staff who gave up their time and energy before their daily commitments elsewhere in school... all with a smile on their face. Not to mention, some fantastic parents who also rallied around with the 'Big Tidy' afterwards!

We look forward to welcoming in Key Stage 2 over the coming weeks.
