Year 5 Cognitive Ability Test (CAT) Scores are Now Available

brainEvery autumn term, maintained schools in the county undertake Cognitive Ability Tests (CAT) for Year 5s. The LEA collect the information and disseminate it to schools.

We use the results as a check for whether children are making expected progress and to also diagnose any learning difficulties.

If you are not familiar with CATs then the scores do require some explanation and interpretation. For that matter, we ask that if you would like to know your child's CAT scores that you contact Mr Ryan by telephone or visit - they will not be sent out 'cold' by default.
