Over recent years we have continued to develop teaching and learning at Blue Coat and this has resulted in improving trends in the levels our children attain (attainment) as well as the progress they make (between key stages). The focus on improving teaching still remains (and always will - we can always do things better for our pupils!)

This year the school has had marked successes in both areas measured by the tables, appearing regularly in the top 20 for both progress and attainment measures. In fact, there are no or very few other primary schools in the county with a similar or larger intake of pupils (45+) who have achieved so highly in so many of the categories.

Of course, these improving trends are due to the talents, commitment and hard work of an excellent team of teachers, teaching assistants and office staff as well as the support and confidence of our parent body. Everyone should be proud of their efforts in striving towards the best outcomes for our pupils. Thank you!

Edit: We've also managed a mention in the Gazette...
