Higher than high

A short performance poem by Katy T. Can you guess what it is about?

Soaring in the clouds,

Mum and Dad; little ants below,

Knees knocking, teeth chattering,

Whole body jelly-like, mellow,

My voice; a mouse like squeek,

Do i dare to dangerously tread,

Towards the edge; one fatal peek,

Then down I tumble, down and down,

Awoken by a bone-cracking clatter,

On the floor I splutter and splatter,

All my teddies have fallen and scattered,

Back I climb, back into bed,

To rewind the clock,

Undo the thread,

Flying up amongst the stars,

A little glance, a fatal peek,

Then down I tumble, down and down,

Awoken by a hair-raising clatter,

Once again I'm out of bed,

A bruise covering half my head,

A nighmare? A dream? Or something inbetween,

So back I climb back into bed,

To rewind the clock,

Undo the thread,

Now I'm speeding round the moon,

A dream I hope won't end soon,

Then I look back down at earth,

A small moment, a little peek,

Then down I tumble, down and down,

And wake up on the cold, cold ground,

All my teddies are lying around me,

Surely that wasn't a dream,

Maybe something inbetween.
