Archery at KLB

A super well done to the Year 6's who competed in the archery tournament last Thursday at KLB.

The afternoon started with the practice targets. The children worked in pairs to fire soft topped arrows at a target. The aim was to get as many arrows on the board as possible.

What a great shot they all were! A few arrows missed the board, but the majority of them were stuck close to the middle.

Now came the tournament....proper arrows and a massive target board.

Getting used to the heavier arrows was easy for some but a bit tricker than the soft topped arrows we had practiced on.

In pairs the children fired thier arrows at the board. Everyone managed to score a red or a gold this time! Sadly, even though everyone performed brilliantly, we didn't make it to the finals.
