Who wants to be a wordsmith?

Guys, there are some amazing words in the English language! This post is dedicated to the plethora of words that our language contains and to celebrate just how amazing they sound. In our writing this year let's aim to expand the limited vocabulary that we use (apparently we only use about 5% of the words in our language) and 'magpie' interesting words and phrases. Post any juicy words you know (and their definitions) and let's start using fun vocabulary!

Here's a couple to get us started...

Rambunctious - noisy, over energetic

Quagmire - an awkward or complex situation

What about "a funambulist" - a performer on a tight or slack rope. I'm sure you could fit one into a story somewhere. "The famous funambulist stumbled and fell, squashing the philomath standing below."
