Writing Stories

Want to practise your story writing. Why not blog one of these ideas.

1. Write two or three paragraphs that open a story introducing a character.  Make sure that you show your character's mood through what they say, do and think.

2. Write the final paragraph to a story that begins with one of these opening lines:

  • David was sad.
  • Grendug, the elf, stared at the map.
  • The opening to the cave was inviting.

3. Write two or three paragraphs that describe a setting.  Remember to describe detail and create the scene by describing what can be seen and heard. Maybe find a picture to inspire you.

Remember to polish your work before you submit it for publishing, have you included  high level writing features?

If you want to blog the paragraph you wrote in class then borrow your literacy book to copy it.
