Walks, Worship ...and Wotton!

Many thanks to the parents who have offered to help with the walk on Tuesday afternoon. If anyone else would like to join us you are very welcome-we are not restricted to numbers. Just to remind everyone...a waterproof coat if the weather looks unsettled, and sensible shoes for all children.

We are planning our class worship ready for May 3rd (we do hope you have the date in your diary!) A letter will be be going out shortly, letting you know about any specific things your child may need to learn or bring with them. Advance warning - the children will need to wear a coloured T-shirt to signify the colours of the rainbow, with a plain dark bottom half. We will let you know the colour very shortly after asking the children what colours they have at home! Every child will have some lines to learn, so your support with helping them to learn them would be great. Lines should be ready for Tuesday, after we decide who's who tomorrow.

As part of the work on our locality, we are finding out about the diversity within our class - in particular, which children have always lived in the Wotton area, and who has moved to the area from further afield. We will be sending home a short questionnaire to find out this information. Please could you help your child with this information? Thank you.

We start the final week of fairy tales, where we will be writing our middles and endings. Our openers are very descriptive, and many children have enjoyed learning how to use commas to separate adjectives.

In maths, our focus is on halves and quarters - using water, sand, dividing sets of objects, making quarter and half turns and finding half past on a clock.
