Super Sale

Goat’s galore!

A huge thank you to everyone in Reception and Year 6 for super cake selling and also to all the parents for supplying us with a mountain of delicious cakes! We raised a whopping £200 which was far more than we expected!! Now we will be able to buy 8 goats which is just fantastic!

We ended our week with a visit from some real life goat kids. Mrs Crossfield kindly arranged with her friend Clare who owns a goat farm nearby to visit with not one, not two but with three baby goats! As you can imagine it was very exciting. As the goats were only one week old we tried very hard to be gentle and not too loud! We thought of some great questions which Clare was able to answer and we found out lots about what they eat, where they live and what they can provide.

Date to note.. Wednesday 22nd February, we will be having a drop in session from 3.15-4pm. This will be is an opportunity for the children to show you their work around the classroom and to look in their Learning Journey’s so far! More details to follow next week.

Well after a final  ‘goatastic’ week we hope to see many of you at the Cream tea this coming Friday 10th Feb in the school hall 3-4pm. Have fun in the snow! Mrs Moir.

This morning at break, the responsible Y6’s and their reception buddies held a cake and biscuit sale. This money-raising event was a great success, and they’ve managed to raise a fabulous total of £138.48 so far! All of the fundraised money raised will go towards buying some goats for poor people in Africa. After school there will be another scrumptious bake sale to raise even more money for more goats, so make sure you pop by and help with the fundraising by buying a yummy cake or delicious biscuit.
