Don't Forget...

...teachers will be undertaking more INSET on Monday 30th October so the first day of Term 2 for pupils will be Tuesday 31st Oct

Friday at 8:26am

We are very excited about our new topic for this term - The Time Detectives. We have already started carrying out some research ahead of of our launch days next week. Did you know that there are lots of different ways to find out about the past? You can watch television programmes, read books about history, look things up on the internet or talk to people from the olden days. We are going to ask Mr Clements about being at school in the 1960s!

We have started to make a class timeline and so far we have put on it all the time periods in history that we can think of from the Creation to the Future. We are looking forward to finding out about some of them - we might explore the Vikings, the Romans, the Victorians or the Tudors. We might find out about The Great Fire of London or the First and Second World Wars or when the first man walked on the Moon.

We will tell you more after our launch days - we are having some people come into school from the Gloucestershire Archeology Team. We are already 'digging the past'!

I wondered why Kira was interrogating me about the First World War! I better refer back to my history books! :sigh:
