'Suddenly, through the trees, a glitter of starlight flashed off steel. Into the quiet garden came whispers, muffled voices, clanking metal - and the sound of boots marching. Jesus stood up... With burning torches and lanterns, with swords and clubs and armour, they came - an army of soldiers. Judas led them straight to Jesus so they could arrest him.'

Only a few of the children had ever heard of the Garden of Gethsemane! So, we read the story, mind-mapped the various emotions that Jesus might have experienced, before creating an abstract olive grove using colours and pictures to illustrate our reflections. Can you work out what feeling each colour/symbol represents?

I love Emily's one (bottom left) and I think the cracks mean betrayal, the hearts I think mean broken-hearted! I hope I'm right! :o
