Don't Forget...

...teachers will be undertaking more INSET on Monday 30th October so the first day of Term 2 for pupils will be Tuesday 31st Oct

Friday at 8:26am

Today we had lesson 4 of Jigsaw 'Changing Me' which focussed on 'identifying body parts that make boys different from girls and learn the correct names for these parts.' The children may go home and want to discuss the lesson with you. Apart from a few giggles, the children took it all on board and discussed differences in a very mature way!

Just to let you know that no spellings were sent home on Friday as we are checking the children's ability to spell numbers as words and the days of the week, seeing what they can remember from earlier spelling tests.

We're looking forward to our visit to Westonbirt on Wednesday - lets hope the sun shines for us!

A huge thank you for all your support with our worship. You should all have received a letter letting you know the costume your child will need and the character they will be playing. I've asked for costumes to be in by next Tuesday in order to give us a few days before the dress rehearsal, but if it's not ready by Tuesday, please don't panic. Let me know if you're having problems getting any bits for your costumes, we can probably help!

Your child also has words to learn. Please could you help them practise  over the next few days so they know them off by heart? Your child has been told to keep their words in their book bag so that we can practise in school too. Many thanks.

We're really looking forward to sharing our worship with you and look forward to seeing you on 22nd!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is a non-uniform day for all children. In exchange for this privilege, please could you bring a tombola gift?

Many thanks.

We're really fortunate this week to have a visit from Zoolab. Lauren will be arriving on Tuesday on morning with a number of creatures for the children to observe and handle (if they wish). The aim is for the children to be aware of where the animals come from, their habitats and and diverse needs. She will be teaching the children about the importance of looking after these habitats and delivering a conservation message. We have always been impressed by Zoolab who have visited the school on a number of occasions.

This is the first of a number of exciting activities we have planned for the children this term. Check parentmail this week to find out more about cooking opportunities and our KS1 visit that will give the children first hand opportunities to find out about more about our science focus.

If you haven't yet sent in your contribution for the Zoolab visit, please bring it in tomorrow or Tuesday - £2.50 in a named envelope. Many thanks.
